About Deacon Henry Lindall Lindall, Lyndall, or Lindale, Henry, New Haven 1646, sometimes spell. Lindon, was a deac. d. late in 1660 or early in 1661, his inv. being in Feb. of this yr. had Mary, bapt. 19 July 1646, wh. m. 14 Sept. 1666, John Hoyt of Norwalk; Sarah, 29 Oct 1648; Hannah, b. 7, bapt. 12 Jan. 1651; Rebecca, b. 20 Oct. 1653, wh. m. 3 Dec. 1674, John Fitch of Norwalk; Grace, 31 Mar. bapt. 6 Apr. 1656; and Mercy, 18 Dec. 1658, bapt. 30 Jan. 1659, wh. m. 3 Apr. 1679, Joseph Ketchum of Norwalk. JAMES, Duxbury 1640,a propr. of Bridgewater 1645, had Abigail, wh. m. capt. Samuel Wadsworth; d. 1652, as did his w. Mary soon aft. His will of 10 Aug. names two minor ch. (commit. by the Ct. to care of Constant Southworth) Abigail, and Timothy, wh. was b. 3 May 1642, says the fam. bible tradit. wh. carries other less definite matters, as that he was from the North of Eng. and had James, Caleb, and Joshua, wh. d. of the plague bef. he came over. JAMES, Boston, was a soldier in Oliver's comp. and wound. in the terrib. day of Naraganset, tho. hav. been press. in the first of the mo. he had hir. a substit. By w. Susanna he had Eliz. b. 16 July 1680; and James, 28 May 1684. His will, made 12 June foll. names the two ch. and made w. extrix. * TIMOTHY, Salem, merch. s. of the first James, freem. 1678, m. 7 Feb. 1673, Mary, d. of Nathaniel Verin, had Mary, b. 7 Apr. 1674; James, 1 Feb. 1676, wh. was deac. kept the fam. tradit. in bible and d. 1753; Timothy, 3, bapt. 4 Nov. 1677; Nathaniel, b. 4 Nov. 1679; Abigail, 15 Sept. 1681; Sarah, 4 Mar. 1683; Caleb, 5 Feb. 1685; [p.96] Rachel, 3 Dec. 1686; and Verin, 2 Feb. 1690, wh. was k. by the Ind. at Haverhill, 29 Aug. 1708. He was rep. 1683 and 92, and d. 6 Jan. 1699, and his wid. d. 7 Jan. 1732, aged 83. Timothy, his s. H. C. 1695, was oft. rep. from 1717, speaker 1720 and 1, of the counc. 1727-30, d. 25 Oct. 1760,. the last surv. of his class; had two ws. Bethia Kitchen, m. May 1714, d. 20 June 1720; and Mary, wh. d. 8 Feb. 1767, aged 80 yrs. From him, thro. his gr.mo. the late lieut.-gov. inthrop derived his mid. name
