General Notes:
Sir Alexander Seton was the son of Sir William de Seton and Janet Fleming.2 He married Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of Sir Adam Gordon of that Ilk and Elizabeth Keith, from 27 March 1408 to 20 July 1408.2 He died between 31 August 1440 and 3 April 1441 at Strathbogie, Scotland.
He gained the title of Lord of Huntly.2 He gained the title of Lord of Gordon.2 On 20 July 1408 he was confirmed in the lands of Gordon and Huntly, which he acquired through his wife. Circa 1437 Burkes states he was doubtfully created a Lord of Parliament as Lord Gordon.
