Catherine Moleyns, born about 1424, perhaps at Stoke Pogis, Buckinghamshire, England, was the daughter of Sir William Moleyns and his wife Margery.
About 1442, she married as his first wife John Howard, son of Robert Howard of Stoke by Nayland, Suffolk, and his wife Margaret Mowbray, the eldest daughter and coheir of Thomas Mowbray, 1st Duke of Norfolk (of the first creation) (1366-1399) and his wife Lady Elizabeth FitzAlan (1366-1425). [1] [2] This marriage had issue two sons and four daughters:
