Tripp of Pickford died at the War Memorial Hospital at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 1943 of carcinoma. She had been ill for several months. Mrs. Tripp was born at Parkhill, Ontario and was married at the Sault on Nov 10, 1920. The Sault was her home for 28 years and prior to that time she lived at Pickford. Mr. and Mrs. Tripp returned to Pickford last summer. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, 1 sister Mrs. E. Flemming of the Sault, and 1 brother Alex Daley of Donaldson. The funeral services will be Friday October 22 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pickford Methodist Church, the Rev. Paul Hart officiating. There will be a short service at the Quinnell Funeral Home at Pickford proceeding the church services. The body will lie instate at Quinnell's from 6:00 p.m. tonight to the time of the funeral. Burial will be in the Bethel cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Hill, John Eveleigh, Mr. McWilliams, James Hill, Armond Warren, and John Shobbrook. (Sault Evening News - Oct 20, 1943, page 5).
