Ernest Earl Gray, only son of Andrew Gray of Stirlingville, passed away at the Soo hospital , Friday a.m. at 1:30 o'clock. The deceased was twenty years, three months, and eleven days old. He had been troubled with lung disease for some time and since Christmas had been under the doctor's care. Three weeks ago he was taken to the Soo hospital when pneumonia set in of which he died. Thursday he was feeling quite well and was thought to be out of danger so his father left him for the first time to spend a few days in the country, but at 1:30 a.m. he passed peacefully away. He was well respected by all who knew him and won friends wherever he went. Relatives and friends paid their last tribute to the dead body by wreaths and boquets of beautiful flowers.
The funeral services were held in the Stirlingville M.E. church, at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Edwin Stephens. The music was furnished by members of the Christian Endevor Society of which the deceased was a loyal member. The body was laid to rest in the family burying grounds in Stirlingville. Hosts of friends extend their deepest sympathy to the grief stricken father.
